Perth’s New Runway

The new runway will run parallel to our existing Main Runway and will increase airport capacity and deliver greater operational efficiency for all airlines at Perth Airport.

The project involves:

• Constructing a new runway up to 3,000m long and 45m wide with associated infrastructure including taxiways, lighting, navigational aids and other ground infrastructure and drainage.
• Working with Airservices Australia to engage with the community on new flight paths.

Perth Airport has already secured appropriate environmental offsets for the project.

Perth Airport conducted a significant community, industry and government engagement and consultation program in 2018 as part of the Major Development Plan process.

Perth’s New Runway is scheduled to be operational in 2028.
