Waste Management Program

Perth Airport has upgraded the bin systems across Terminals 1 and 2 to include a white Bottles & Cans bin – for Containers for Change eligible drink containers (look for the 10c mark) - and a green Organics & Coffee Cups bin – for food scraps, compostable packaging, tissues, napkins and compostable coffee cups.

These upgrades follow the successful trial of Bottles & Cans bins at Terminals 3 and 4 and are a step towards Perth Airport’s sustainability targets.

By using the right bins, passengers can make a big impact. Placing bottles and cans with the 10c mark into the dedicated white bins raises valuable funds for Breast Cancer Care WA. Placing organics and compostable items into the dedicated green bins helps turn them into other valuable resources.
