Holiday hacks for 2021

Here’s how you can turn 13 days of annual leave into a whopping 37 days off - and some ideas of how to spend it.

It’s always a struggle to return to work after the Christmas break. Your inbox is full, deadlines are looming, and you’re back to video conferencing with multiple rounds of the dreaded, “Can you hear me?”

It’s definitely time to book your next holiday.

The good news is that there are lots of opportunities to maximise your annual leave this year.

Easter

The holiday hack: 

By the time we get to April, a holiday is sure to make you a very happy (Easter) bunny. Take four days of annual leave before Good Friday (April 2) or following Easter Monday (April 5) to score 10 days off in a row.

Anzac Day public holiday

The holiday hack: 

Head North as temperatures begin to cool. Take four days of annual leave following the Anzac Day public holiday (April 26) and enjoy nine days off.

Western Australia Day & the Queen's Birthday public holidays

The holiday hack: 

Escape the city for a long weekend – start making plans with your partner, friends or get away from it all with a solo trip. Take the preceding Friday off before WA Day (June 7) and the Queen’s birthday (September 27) to get four days off in a row.
