Perth Airport kicks-off major refresh of its food & beverage and retail offering at Terminal 1
International passengers will be spoilt for choice as Perth Airport embarks on a major upgrade of its retail offering within Terminal 1 International.
Perth Airport’s Chief Commercial and Aviation Officer Kate Holsgrove said that with passenger numbers continuing to climb, Perth Airport had commenced work on a major overhaul to the international passenger journey that will transform the retail and F&B spaces across two levels.
“As a growing airport we want to ensure we have a range of quality food and beverage and speciality retail options for our passengers.
“We are thrilled to have our valued and long-term partners Delaware North, SSP, WHSmith, LagardereAWPL and Smarte Carte as part of our significant refurbishment and refresh of the customer offering at T1 International. These global teams will deliver contemporary, high-standard products that will provide exceptional customer service and ensure we are catering to what our passengers want when they fly.
“The transformation of the T1 International departures experience includes the remodelling and refurbishing of level one to provide a dynamic central retail and dining area prior to security screening.
“We will also completely transform our spaces within the Departures Lounge which will complement the refresh of the Duty Free shopping experience
“With all these changes and upgrades, passengers will see significant construction works within the terminals.”
“A number of F&B outlets will be closed during this time so we can undertake the upgrade works – but we will be providing pop-up venues around the terminal to cater for passengers during these works.
“As part of a major Capital Project works program to enhance the passenger experience at Perth Airport, we are also building new carparks, roads and expanding our terminal facilities all within a live operating environment.
“This will cause some inconvenience to travellers and those who work on the airport estate.
“Extensive planning work is being done on the sequencing and delivery of these major projects to help minimise this unavoidable inconvenience.
“Once the work is completed, the new outlets will greatly improve the outbound international customer experience at T1 International
