Mr Cole has previously served as an Independent Non-Executive Director from January 2023 and subsequently as Chair from March 2023.

Mr Cole resigned from these roles in late 2024 to focus on his recovery from health issues.

Mr Cole has now returned to full health and has been reappointed by the Board to his Perth Airport roles, commencing in April 2025.

During his previous tenure as Chair, Perth Airport completed its post-pandemic rebound to achieve unprecedented passenger numbers and successfully sealed a landmark commercial agreement with the Qantas Group.

Mr Cole’s reappointment will further strengthen the PAPL Board as Perth Airport progresses work on its next wave of major infrastructure projects which will change the face of the airport.

The Board has thanked Mr Clive Appleton for his service as Acting Chair over the past five months.
