More choice for Bali-bound travellers as Citilink takes off from Perth
31 October, 2019
Bali is now within reach of more Western Australians with the announcement that Citilink will begin a new Perth to Bali service.
The airline’s announcement of a new daily service between Perth and Bali from 8 November 2019 gives yet another travel option for those who love visiting Western Australia’s favourite holiday destination.
Perth Airport Chief Corporate Services Officer Debra Blaskett said Citilink’s entry into the Perth-Bali market brings more competition to the route and more choice for travellers.
“This service by the low-cost carrier Citilink offers a larger section of the WA community the chance to travel overseas.
“We know Western Australians have a great propensity for travel, and Indonesia represents Perth Airport’s largest outbound market offering an easily accessible and attractive destination for travellers,” Ms Blaskett said.
President & CEO Citilink Indonesia, Juliandra said that the new route proves that Citilink is ready to become a global player by connecting Bali as a tourist destination with other tourist cities in Australia, such as Perth.
“Citilink’s decision to launch its first Australian service in Perth will give extra capacity and greater choice for travellers in this market.”
Citilink Indonesia is a low-cost carrier subsidiary of Garuda Indonesia and will operate its daily Denpasar, Bali to Perth service on an A320 aircraft.
The Citilink flight QG542 leaves Denpasar at 1.10am and arrives in Perth at 4.50am, while the flight back to Bali QG543 departs at 9.50am and arrives at 1.30pm.
